Benjamin Banneker Mathematics Teaching Collaborative Coming to Denver, Colorado

The Benjamin Banneker Association (BBA) is bringing its Benjamin Banneker Mathematics Teaching Collaborative (BMTC) to Denver, Colorado, October 28–31, 2026.

The Denver cohort will bring educators together for an immersive professional learning experience focused on strengthening mathematics teaching, collaboration, reflection, and leadership development—with particular attention to improving educational experiences for Black students.

Through BMTC, educators have an opportunity to examine instructional practices, explore the impact of identity and classroom culture, and connect with a community committed to creating mathematics classrooms where each and every student—especially Black students—can thrive.

BBA is seeking to connect with teachers, mathematics educators, instructional leaders, school administrators, and education professionals throughout Denver and beyond who are committed to strengthening mathematics education and expanding opportunities for Black learners.

Denver, BBA is coming—and BMTC is bringing mathematics, leadership, community, and impact with it.
